The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is recruiting a full-time Neurocritical Care Neurologist to join our growing team located in Pittsburgh, PA ! Our subspecialized Center focuses on providing our community with state of art, the most innovative therapy, including an outpatient center.

Job Duties

  • Participate in the training and education of neurology residents

  • Telemedicine capabilities available

Job Qualifications

  • Fellowship Trained in Neurocritical Care

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology

  • PA Medical License

  • PhD/MD Graduate of accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)

  • Completion of accredited residency and fellowship if required by specialty

  • Current PA MD licensure in good standing; current unrestricted DEA certificate

AHN Neuroscience Institute

Our Institute integrates renowned experts in the subspecialties of neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, and neurosurgery to offer leading-edge diagnosis and treatment for patients with the most complex neurological disorders across 7 hospitals throughout Western PA.

The Neuroscience Institute currently staffs over 24 neurosurgeons and 28 Neurologists who specialize in a myriad of neurosurgical disorders, including brain, spine and skull-based surgery, stroke, movement disorders, cranial nerve disorders, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular disorders, dementia and concussions to name a few. The Department has a quaternary care facility within Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) in Pittsburgh PA, that has a level 1 trauma center, and a level 2 trauma center at Forbes Regional Hospital (FRH), located in Monroeville, Pa.

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) has a total of 6 Joint Commission certified stroke centers including the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Allegheny General Hospital in the city of Pittsburgh and 5 Primary Stroke Center hospitals (PSCs) located around western Pennsylvania. At Allegheny General Hospital , we care for more than 2,500 cerebrovascular patients each year. Our acute stroke response teams use the InTouch platform for Telestroke consultations to support our AHN PSCs and physicians treating acute strokes in community hospitals throughout western Pennsylvania. Our AHN stroke centers leverage RAPID software for CTA and CTP imaging. In addition to our Neuroscience Institute housing the departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery, we also have a Neuroscience Research Center home to multiple cerebrovascular research studies such as CHARM and ENRICH.
