Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Coordinates all aspects of food production and food presentation for all catering events and in Food and Nutrition areas.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates and assists in the preparation all food items for special events in catering and main kitchen. (60%)

  • Reviews upcoming events, completes inventory, orders food items, and updates event orders to insure accuracy of items served. (15%)

  • Acts as a liaison between food & nutrition services department, conference center staff and event planning assistants. (15%)

  • Maintains food safety and sanitation standards according to departmental policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements. (10%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Allegheny County Food Safety/Sanitation.

  • 5 years of high volume food production experience required.

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
